Alessandro has over 30 years of experience in the Financial Services industry, the last twenty of which in Private Equity. Alessandro is the Founder and Co-Managing Partner of Praesidium.

Prior to Praesidium, Alessandro founded Perennius Capital Partners, the largest Private Equity fund-of-funds manager in Italy. In 2013, he sold it to Partners Group, where he served as Partner and Global Head of Energy in Zug.

Previously, he served as Managing Partner & CEO of Poli e Associati, one of the oldest Italian Corporate Finance boutiques.

Alessandro started his career at JP Morgan in London, Paris and New York and then joined Bain & Co. in London and Milan.

Alessandro served as Professor of Theory of Finance at Bocconi University in Milan, where he wrote a monograph (“Cost of Capital: Theory of Finance and Financial Markets”). He is also Member of the Academic Committee of Bocconi’s Quarterly Review “Company Valuation” and is an Italian Chartered Accountant.

He graduated in Economics from Bocconi University, Milan, and earned a Master specialization in International Corporate Finance from HEC Paris.

Alessandro speaks English, French and Italian.
